Ferrari is finally landing in India’s financial capital, and they couldn’t have picked a better location. The Prancing Horse will set up its stable at the ground floor at Platina, Bandra Kurla Complex, a premier commercial and office area of Mumbai. Wadhwa Group, owners of the property, has signed a five year deal with Navnit Motors to bring the Italian brand to Mumbai. The launch of the 3000sq.ft showroom is expected by the end of October.
With supercars becoming more and more popular in India thanks to steadily improving infrastructure and the rise of disposable incomes, Ferrari should have no problems selling its supercars despite the premium price they command in the country. The company had already entered India unofficially, however, complaints about after-sales service and support made its first foray a short-lived affair. Now, with a reputable name in the Indian exotic car business at the helm of things, customers can hope for a better buying and ownership experience as befits the marquee.
We’ve previously brought you the exclusive price list of Ferrari’s offerings in India, and the updated list is reproduced below (all prices are in ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Ferrari California T Convertible – Rs 3.45 Crore
Ferrari 488 GTB Coupe – Rs 3.99 Crore
Ferrari 458 Spider – Rs 4.22 Crore
Ferrari 458 Speciale – Rs 4.40 Crore
Ferrari F12 Berlinetta – Rs 4.87 Crore
Speaking at the occasion, Sharad Kachalia, Director, Navnit Motors added: “This new partnership will surely extend our horizon thus catering to the excitement and unique taste of affluent customers. We hope to make the most of this association as Ferrari is in its nascent stage in India and hence brings in a striking opportunity for the country.”
